✨It is the outermost layer of the animal cell.It is a selectively permeable membrane became it regulates the entry of some particles and ions into and out of the cell.

Cell membrane is also known as the plasma membrane.

Cell membrane permits the entry ND exit of some materials in the cell.

Hence it is called selective permeable membrane becoz it allows the movement of only selected molecules across it ND not of all them .
