The cell plate is a structure which generally grows during the cytokinesis in the plant cell . This generally divides the plant cell into 2 cell. This forms from at the equatorial plane from the centre to the periphery of the cell.

cell plates formed by the cleavage ..at telophase stage membrane enclosed vesicles derived from the Golgi apparatus migrate to centre of the the cell and at centre metaphase plate used to be and fused to form cell plate.
