Cell is the basic and structural unit of every living organism.It was first found by Robert Hook in his self-designed primitive microscope.He found thin slices of cork in between them which resembled like a honey comb.He then called them cellulae.Then it was called as cell.If it helps u mark it as brainliest.If it don't help u I'm sorry.
