Hii

you are welcome in my ans

Center of mass:- it is the average position of a system of all the parts of system (atom ,molecule etc) weighted according to their mass .

Example

suppose a box contain three molecule of mass m1,m2 and m3

and distance to the centre of each body is x1,X2 and x3

center of mass in x axis = m1x1 + m2x2 + m3x3/m1 + m2 + m3

center of mass in y axis = m1y1 + m2y2 +m3y3/(m1 +m2 +m3)

center of mass = (x,y)

Centre of mass is a point where whole mass of the given system can be assumed.

More about Centre of Mass:

  1. It Can be inside or outside the body.
  2. It is always on the axis of symmetry.
  3. It is at a point where two axis of symmetry cut each other.
  4. It is nearer to the heavier object/ quantity applied.
