Hey!
Centrifugation is the process where a mixture is separated through spinning.
Ex - 1)It is used to separate skim milk from whole milk.
2) Water from your clothes.
3) Blood cells from your blood plasma.
Hope it helps...

There are many different ways/methods to separate different mixtures.
Like we use evaporation to separate solid from liquid, winnowing is used when we want to separate lighter particles from the heavier and many other processes.
Centrifugation is also one of the process of separation.
Centrifugation is used when the solid particles are very much small dissolved in the liquid and it's not possible to separate those particles through filter paper or by any other process. These type of mixtures can be separated by only centrifugation.
In this process, the force applied makes the dense particles to settle down and the lighter particles stays on the top.
It's used when we want to separate butter from cream, used in blood tests etc.
HOPE THIS HELPS..!!
