It is the process of separation of different components or substances from a mixture or solution using centrifugal force by rotating the substance in a circular path inside a cylindrical container.

Separation of mixtures can be done by centrifugation.  Heavier items or differently sized items get separated.

Centrifugation is used to separate different components of blood and saved for future use and blood donations.
