when a body moves across a circular path it's magnitude of its velocity is remain constant but the direction is changing continuously. During this rotation the body accept a force which resist the change in direction and body is try to move away from the centre and there is a internal force which makes the body attract toward the centre this force is called centripetal force..

centripetal force = mv^2/r
