Centripetal Force

Definition:

A force that acts on body which makes the body follow a curved path around the source. Generally, The force is directed towards the centre around which the body is moving.

How to find the Magnitude?

For finding the magnitude, we use the given formula:

F = mv² / r

Where,

m = mass of the body

v = tangential velocity at which the body is moving

r = radius of the imaginary circle of which the path of the moving body is the circumference ( Or simply the distance from the center ) .
