It contains cell body of neurons. It is highly folded and convoluted for increase the area so that more nerve cell can be present. The fold of the cerebral cortex is called gyri or gyrus and the depression or the groove of the cerebral cortex is called sulci or sulcus.
=> Cerebral cortex is the most important part of the brain.
=> Occipital lobe is present by which our eye and interpret what has been seen
=> Temporal lobe is present where sound are interprated so that we can understand what is spoken it is connected with the case of hearing.
=> Frontal lobe controls involuntary movement of muscles.
=> Parietal lobe function in the sense of pain ,touch etc.
