the brain has 3main parts :. cerebrum,cerebellum and medulla.

cerebellum is located under the cerebrum. it's function is to coordinate muscle movement, maintained posture and balance.

cerebrum is the largest part of the brain and nearly contributes 80 percentage of the total weight of the human brain. medulla has a primary role regulating our involuntary life sustaining functions such as breathing , swallowing and heart beat .

  • cerebrum:- it covers the most part of the brain. It is divided into two cerebral hemispheres it has many grooves and ridges in it for holding maximum number of nuerons. It is the seat for intelligence, will power, memory and consciousness .
  • cerebellum:- it is situated at the back side of the cerebrum. It mainly controls the balance of the body and co-ordinate muscular activities. The cerebellum implements the action which are decided by the cerebrum.
  • medulla oblongata:- It is the lowest part of the brain and continues upto the spinal cord. Injury to the medulla may result in the death of a person. its function is to control the activities of the internal organs. it mainly controls reflexes below neck, conduct messages from the skin and muscles to the brain and conduct commands from the brain to muscles of the trunk and limbs
