Tetraethylene lead is an organolead compound. It was mixed with gasoline as a patented octane rating booster that allowed engine compression to be raised substantially which increases vehicle performance and fuel economy. It is used as anti-knocking agent and Valve wear preventive!!!!!!!!! It is produced by reacting chloroethane with Sodium lead alloy.
