Example ― the chance it will rain on a sunny day is unlikely.

Example ― the sunset every evening .

  • Impossible event ― An event that will never occur.

  • Equally likely events ― An event that has a 50-50 chance of occurring.

Example ― getting heads on tossing a coin .

  • Likely event An event that has a good chance of occurring.

Example ― having someone say good morning to you in the morning.

  • Unlikely event ― An event that has a chance of occurring.

Example ― selecting a red card from a bag in an unlikely event when only 1 out of 100 cards in the bag is red.
