Heya frnd,
here is your answer

Chandrasekhar limit is now taken as aprox. approximately 1.4 times the mass of the sun. Any white dwarf with less than this mass will star a white dwarf forever, while a star that exceeds this mass is destined to end its life in that most violent of explosions: "a supernova".

hope this much is enough
if u need for information ask me frankly

thank you

ArjunCRPSM: why the name "chandrasekhar"???
ArjunCRPSM: Whats this white dwarf???
Sneha3123: sry i don't know why ita name is chandrasekhar
Sneha3123: but white dwarf is a small but very dence star nearly its size is as the size of planets A white dwarf is formed when a low-mass star has exhausted all its central nuclear fuel and lost its outer layers as a planetary nebula.
Sneha3123: hope this helps :)
ArjunCRPSM: tq
