momentum is equal to m•v
m1= 1500•36
m1= 54000
m2= 1500•72
m2=108000
m2-m1= change in momentum
108000-54000

Momentum = mass × velocity
p = mv
∆p = m ∆v
Change in momentum = 1500kg (72 - 36)km/h
= 1500kg ×( 36× 5/18) m/s
= 1500kg × 10m/s
= 15000 kg m/s
