Pencillium notatum comminly calles as pencillin was discovered by Alexander Fleming. He was a army doctor. While he was serving them he found a disease in the soldiers. So to create a medicine he kept a petridish and let grow fungi.When he saw the fungi rrmoving the harmful bacteria that is causing the disease in soldiers. So the fungi was called as pencillium notatum.It is used as a powerful antibiotic now a days.
