Answer:

Head streams of Ganga called Bhagirathi is fed by Gangotri glacier and joined by Alaknanda at Devprayag in Uttrakhand. Its tributaries are Yamuna, Ghagra, Gandak, Kosi, Chambal, Betwa, Son. Ganga flows eastwards till Farakka in West Bengal after which it bifurcates and forms Bhagirathi and Hoogly rivers. It is called Padma in Bangladesh, joined by Brahmaputra and flowsmas Meghna river.
