Properties of Charge are :-

*Charge is a scalar quantity.

Charge of a proton is +1.6×10¯¹9 C.

Charge of electron is - 1.6×10¯¹9 C.

*Charge is Quantised.

Charge(Q) =±ne, here n is an integer.

*Like carges repel each other whereas unlike charges attract each other.

*When we have two charges, then to find out the force between the charges.

Force(F) =Kq1q2/r².

Here, K is the constant, q1 and q2 are the two charges and r is the distance between the two charged bodies.

*Whenever, two charges are kept close to one another, then the potential energy is given by P. E =Kq1q2/r.
