Heya☺

A chemical equation is a symbolic representation of a chemical reaction in which the reactant entities are given on the left hand side and product formed are given on the right hand side and the both are separated by an arrow( →).

Ex: CaO + CO2 [reactants]--> CaCO3 (product).
