Hii There!!!

● The representation of a chemical reaction in the form of symbols (substances) is known as chemical equation.
A chemical equation consists of reactants and products

● A chemical equation should be balanced in order to satisfy "Law of Conservation of Mass".
That is, the number of atoms of each elements in a chemical equation should be same (or equal) in both sides. That is L.H.S and R.H.S.

For Example :-

Balanced chemical equation
2Mg + O2 -----> 2MgO

Hope it helps

JayatiG: I think example is wrong one
Khushi0511: It is a balanced chemical equation
JayatiG: ok

Hey friend ^_^

Here is your answer:

♦ A chemical equation is a shorthand form of representing a chemical reaction, that is the chemical change in which reactants react under suitable conditions to for products. ♦

♦ It is necessary to balance an equation for complying with the ' Law of Conservative of Matter ' which explains that matter is neither created nor destroyed in the course of a chemical reaction. If an equation is not balanced, then it would imply that atoms have been created or destroyed. ♦

Hope it helps u !
