Explanation:When a reversible reaction takes place (in closed vessel if gaseous compounds) there are two processes taking place 1. reactants getting converted to products (forward reaction) and 2. products converting back to reactants (backward reaction). So when the rate of forward equals to rate of backward we say an equilibrium has established as chemicals are involved so called chemical equilibrium.
