A chemical formula is a symbolic representation of a compound is called a chemical formula.

•Information given by a Chemical formula:

1. The different types of elements in the compound

2. Their proportions with respect to the compound and each other

3. The mass of the compound

4. Number of molecules

•Writing a chemical formula,

We know that each atom of an element has a symbol. These symbols are used while writing a chemical formula. Their combining capacitices (valency) also play a major role in determining the chemical formula of a compound

Let us clarify it better using an example,

Take common salt which is Sodium Chloride.

Na is the symbol of Sodium and Cl is the symbol of Chloride

Both have a valency of 1

On crossing them,

We get NaCl

relationship relationship expressed by symbols in chemistry is known as chemical formula.....

you can take an example of very easy hydrogen and oxygen by which means hydrogen ''H"and 2 molecules and oxygen "O"

H^2 O

=} H2O

which means chemical formula of water......

therefore answer is veried.........
