Defination :-

Chemistry is the study of matter and energy and the interactions between them. This is also the definition for physics, by the way. Chemistry and physics are specializations of physical science. Chemistry tends to focus on the properties of substances and the interactions between different types of matter, particularly reactions that involve electrons. Physics tends to focus more on the nuclear part of the atom, as well as the subatomic realm. Really, they are two sides of the same coin.

Chemistry is important in everyday life, as it can be seen in almost all spheres of life, such as :

✴ Medicines employ various chemicals, which help us fight disease, infections and relieve us from pain, anxiety, depression etc.

✴ Pollution is a major concern in today's world. You can highlight that pollution is also caused by many chemical compounds such as Nitric oxide, methane, Carbon-di-oxide etc. and enlist some of the adverse effects of pollution.

✴ Plastics which were a boon for mankind, are now a big problem for the environment due to their non-degradable nature.

✴ Clothes that we wear in our daily are made from fibres both natural and man-made, which are chemical compounds such as cotton, polyester, nylon etc.

✴ Fuels that we use such as coal, petroleum, natural gas, LPG and CNG etc. are chemicals, that run our machinaries.

✴ Food that we eat, gets cook because of the steam, present in water added or in the food itself.

✴ Chemistry explain the flow of different energy and its application in our daily life

✴ Chemistry made travel and transport easily by giving the knowledge of metal extraction, its use in daily life for transportation.

Hope it helps
