chromosomes are thread like structures found in the nucleus of the cell. it constitutes DNA and proteins. the DNA does hehe and help in transfer of genetic traits from parent to offspring. they can be seen only when the cell divides.
mitochondria is an organelle found in the cytoplasm of the cell which is also known at the power house of the cell because it makes and releases energy in the form of ATP(adenosine triphosphate energy rich molecules)
