Answer:-

Chromatography is a technique used to separate different colours from a given same solvent.

In this technique, the coloured component which is more soluble in water rises faster along with water molecule in a given filter paper, whereas the other component, which is less soluble separates out.

Principle:-

The principle of this technique is that different colours ( solutes) can be separated out depending upon their solubility in a given common solvent.

Applications:-

1: Used to separate different colours from dye.

2: Used to separate pigments from the natural colours.

3: Used to separate drugs from blood.
