circular motion-when an body moves with uniform speed in circular path it is called uniform circular motion.

\huge{\mathcal{\underline{\pink{AnsWer:-}}}}

The motion of a particle along a circular path is called circular motion.Circular motion of an object is accelerated motion.

\large\green{\bold{\underline{\underline{Types\:of\:Circular\:Motion:-}}}}

  • Uniform circular motion
  • Non uniform circular motion.

UNIFORM CIRCULAR MOTION :-

When a body moves in a circular path the direction of motion changes continously . So, even the body matains a constant speed the velocity is not constant since the direction changes continuously. Hence , the uniform circular motion is a motion in which the speed is constant and the velocity changes continuously .

NON UNIFORM MOTION :-

The motion of a body along a circular path in which the both speed and velocity changes constantly is called Non uniform circular motion .

SOME TERMS RELATED TO CIRCULAR MOTION :-

ANGULAR DISPLACEMENT :-

The angle swept by the radius vector from one position to other position is called Angular displacement .It is represented by θ . Units of angular displacement is radian denoted by rad

Angular displacement of a particle undergoing circular motion of radius 'r' is given by

\large\rm\bold{\boxed{\theta\:=\frac{S}{r}}}

Where ,

  • S is Linear displacement (Length of the arc through which the body has moved )
  • r is Radius
  • θ is Angular displacement

ANGULAR VELOCITY :-

Angular displacement per unit time is called Angular velocity . Units of Angular velocity are rad/sec. Angular velocity is denoted by ω (omega).

Angular velocity is given by ,

\large\rm\bold{\boxed{\omega\:=\:\frac{\theta}{t}}}

Where ,

  • ω is Angular velocity
  • θ is Angular displacement
  • t is time

ANGULAR ACCELERATION :-

Angular velocity per unit time is called Angular acceleration.Units of angular acceleration are rad/s² . Angular acceleration is denoted by α

\large\rm\bold{\boxed{\alpha\:=\:\frac{\omega}{t}}}

Where ,

  • ω is angular velocity
  • α is Angular acceleration
  • t is time
