the civil right movement was a struggle by african american in the mid 1950s to late 1960 to achieve civil right equal to those of whites including equal opportunity in employment, housing and education as well as the right  to equal access to public facilites , and the right to be free of racial discrimination .No social or political movement of the twentieth century had has profound an effect on the legal and political institution of the united states.The civil right movement is also spurred the reemergence of judiciary,including the supreme court,in it roles as protector of individual liberties aganist majority power and this movement is also called the second reconstruction
