what is closed and open interval? in maths​

Close interval means :- value is included

for eg [1,2] we include the value from 1 to 2

open interval : open interval means value is not included

for eg (1,5)

means all value incluede except 1 and 5

Open intervals

A type of interval which does not includes the end points. It is denoted by parenthesis (   ).

For example: (2,3)

It means, 2 and 3 are excluded but all the real numbers that lies between 2 and 3 are included.

Closed intervals

A type of interval which includes the end points. It is denoted by square brackets [ ].

For example: [2,3]

It means, 2 and 3 are included as well as all the real numbers that lies between 2 and 3 are also included.
