Hey dear...
Coal is the mixture of compounds of carbon, hydrogen,oxygen,and free carbon compounds.
It also contains small amount of nitrogen and sulphur compounds.
India has large deposit of chala in bihar ,odisha, W.B. and the areas of M.P. because of our country has large deposit of it coal playa a important role in our country energy need and due to this COAL is considered as "back bone" of country...
IT'S USES:
*It is use as domestic and industrial fuel.
*It is used in thermal power plants for generating electricity.
*It is used as to prepare synthetic pila and natural gases .....

Coal is the combustible sedimentary rock found as a fossil fuel formed by the remains of dead plants and animals million years ago.
It's main uses are :-
1. Pulverized (Crushed) Coal is used in Thermal Power Plants to generate Electricity.
2. Coal is used in steel manufacturing and some iron products.
3. Coal is also used to form gasoline and diesel.
4. Coal Tar is used in making of roads.
