2. Width-Western coastal plain is 50 kilometres in width and eastern coastal plain width varies between 100 to 130 km

3.Different parts-western coast consist of three sections

a.Konkan (Mumbai to Goa)

b.Kannad plain

c.Malabar coast

eastern coast consist of two sections

a.Northern Circar(between Mahanadi and Krishna rivers)

b.Coromandel Coast(between Krishna and Kaveri rivers)

4.Rivers-Mahanadi, Godavari, Krishna and Kaveri

5.Lagoon-Chilika lake, Pulicat lake etc.
