Cohesion refers to the attraction of molecules for other molecules of the same kind, and water molecules have strong cohesive forces thanks to their ability to form hydrogen bonds with one another.

Answer:

FIRST I WILL TELL YOU IN SIMPLE WORDS. COHENSION MEANS INTERMOLECULAR FORCE OF ATTRACTION.

DEFINITION -

Cohesion IS  the intermolecular attractive force acting between two adjacent portions of a substance, particularly of a solid or liquid. It is this force that holds a piece of matter together. Intermolecular forces act also between two dissimilar substances in contact, a phenomenon called adhesion.
