◆A colloid is a heterosgenous mixture.
◆The size of particles of colloid is too small to be individually seen by naked eyes.

In chemistry , a colloid is a mixture in which one substance of microscopically dispersed insoluble particles is suspended throughout another substance.

Two properties of colloids can be termes as

> the colloids seems to be hazy in solution.

> the colloids have the radius greater than substance in ideal solution and smaller than substances in suspension.
