hello... here is your answer

It is a mixture in which the substance are regularly suspended in a fluid. A colloid is a minutely small material that is regularly spread out all through substance. Eg - milk, fog

Properties are -

  1. it is heterogeneous mixture
  2. the size of particles is small in colloid
  3. Colloid were big enough to scatter a beam light passing through it and makes it part visible
  4. They cannot be separated by filtration

hope it helps you

Answer:

General properties of colloidal systems are as follows:

(1) Colloidal system is heterogeneous and consists of two phases, dispersed phase and dispersion medium.

(2) The dispersed phase particles pass slowly through parchment paper or animal membrane, but readily pass through ordinary filter paper.

(3) The colloidal systems exhibit optical property like Tyndal effect, kinetic property like Brownian motion, electrical properties like electrophoresis a colour.
