Hii friend!!

» A heterogeneous mixture in which solute particles can not be separated by observation through our naked eye are called Colloids or colloidal solutions.

» Colloids in which both dispersed phase and dispersed medium are liquids are called emulsions.
Eg : Milk,face cream,etc

» Dispersed phase is the substance that is present in small proportion and consists of particles of colloidal size. (1 nm to 100 nm)

» Dispersed medium is the medium in which the colloidal particles are dispersed.

» The scattering of beam of light by colloidal particles us called Tyndall effect.

Hope this information helps...!
