a law stating that like charges repel and opposite charges attract, with a force proportional to the product of the charges and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them.
F ∝ Q1Q2/r2

where
F = force between the charges
Q1 and Q2 = amount of charge
r = distance between the two charges.

The magnitude of the electrostatic force of interaction between two point charges is directly proportional to the scalar multiplication of the magnitudes of charges and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them. This is coloumb law
