The type of farming in which crops are grown especially for commercial use only is known as commercial farming. It is produced for the selling purposes only for which large amount of labor is required.
There are three types of commercial farming:
Commercial grain farming: the farming practiced in temperate grasslands where area is spread over large land. For example, wheat and maize.
Mixed farming: the land which is used for both growing crops and for rearing livestock.
Plantation agriculture: the single crop which grows on huge areas of land like tea, coffee, rubber and cashew.
