commercial unit of electrical energy is KWH.
1 KWH=1000x joule/secx1hour
=1000x joule/secx 60x60 sec
=36x 10⁵joule
=3.6 x 10⁶ joule.
problem:
power of tube light=40w=40/1000=0.04kw
power of fan=75w=75/1000=0.075kw
power of cooler=150w=150/1000=0.15kw
total power=0.04+0.075+0.15
=0.265KW
time used=8 h
∴electrical energy=power x time
⇒0.265 x 8
=2.12 KWH
