Explanation:

1)Bryophyta, thallophyta, pteridophyta belongs to sub kingdom cryptogam

2) They don't produce fruit, flowers

3)Cell wall are made up of cellulose

4)Are autotrophic and produce their own food

5)Reserve food in form of starch

6)Hidden reproductive structures

7)Reproduce asexually by means of spores

All these three plant groups require water in order to complete their life cycle Water is needed for fertilisation of gametes.

In Thallophyta and Bryophyta there is no xylem and phloem. In Pteridophytes xylem and phloem are present but these are less developed as compared to that of most highly evolved plant group i.e spermatophytes.

Answer:

1. Thallophytes, bryophytes and pteridophytes have naked embryos that are called spores.

2. The reproductive organs of plants in all these three groups are very inconspicuous.

3. So they are called cryptograms.
