HEY DEAR....!!

The common ion effect is responsible for the reduction in the solubility of anionic precipitate when a soluble compound containing one of the ionsof the precipitate is added to the solution in equilibrium with the precipitate.

\mathcal\red{Common\:Ion\:Effect:-}

The degree of dissociation of an electrolyte (weak) is suppressed by the addition of another electrolyte (strong) containing a common ion. This is termed as common ion effect.

→ As a result of common ion effect, the concentration of the ion not in common in two electrolytes, is decreased.
