What is complex tissue?

Complex tissues consists of more than one type of cells which work together as unit. It helps in transportation of organic materials , water and minerals . It is also known as conducting or vascular tissue.

It is divided into two parts

  • Xylem :- It's main fiction is the upward movement of water and dissolved minerals ( ascent of sap ) from roots to different parts of shoots.

  • Phloem :- It is living conducting or vascular tissue. It transports organic foods to all parts of plants.
