Compost is organic matter that has been decomposed and recycled as a fertilizer and soil amendment.Compost is rich in nutrients
It is formed by keeping all biodegradable wastes in a pit and cover it by a layer of soil.Leave it undisturbed for 2 or 3 months.After that uwill have a valuable compost

HERE'S YOUR ANSWER!!!
Basically compost is decomposed organic matter made by decomposing biodegradable matter. There are 2 types of compost
1) Simple Compost
2) Vermi-Compost (action of earthworm)
To make compost:-
Firstly collect all the biodegradable substance and put it into a pit of soil (add some earthworms if u need vermi-compost) leave it for 2-3 months. After 2-3 months the compost would be ready.
