Answer:

It is an electronic device for storing and processing data, typically in binary form, according to instructions given to it in a variable program

Explanation:

Its function is taking data and instructions from a user, processing the data as per instructions, and displaying or storing the processed data, are the four major functions of a computer. These functions are also known as the input function, process function, output function, and storage function, respectively

Answer:

Explanation:

COMPUTER;

The computer itself is a system, arranged in a heirarchial structure of subsystems.

Its sub-systems are CPU, Memory, bus, clock and Peripheral devices.

The sub- systems of CPU are the control, ALU and registers.

The sub-systems of ALU are two registers and the arithmetic circuit.

The sub-systems of the registers are flipflops.

The subsystems of flipflops and arithmetic circuit are logic gates implemented through transistors.

The sub- systems of transiators are p and n type semiconductors, and so on until one reaches the level of subatomic particles .

FUNCTION;

The function of a computer is either to solve a problem and presents results, which can include things like

  • Games
  • Weather predictions
  • Simulations

Or to measure and control things like

  • Thermostat
  • Mechanical equipment
  • Robot arms

Data collection system as in measuring ocean temperatures from sensors around the world.

So one purpose is more esoteric whereas the other one is more based in reality. But basically a computer takes input information in some form, processes that information and then outputs in some form .
