The above for components are essential for computer to function.

1. Monitor is just like a T.V. It only act as display. It displays what the computer is performing. It is an output device. It provides is information in pictorial form.
2. CPU is the brain of computer. It's function is to store data, it directs the operation of processor and helps the whole computer to function. It is an output device.
3. Keyboard is an input device which is use for typing. It only gives information to computer and format recieve any information back.
4. Mouse is also an input device which is a hand-held pointing device that detects two-dimensional motion relative to a surface. This motion is typically translated into the motion of a pointer on a display, which allows a smooth control of the graphical user interface of a computer.

All these components together make a computer to function well.
