It means that when two bodies collide with each other and there collision such that A on B and B on A.
Collision of 1st body = m1u1 + m2u2 ÷ t
2nd body = m1v1 + m2v2 ÷ t
t sae t cancel
m1u1+m2u2 = m1v1+m2v2
Hence Proved
