The law of conservation of momentum states that the sum of momentum of two bodies before collision will be same as that of the two bodies after collision

For a collision occurring between two objects in an isolated system, the total momentum of the two objects before the collision is equal to the total momentum of the two objects after the collision.
That is, the momentum lost by one object is equal to the momentum gained by the other object.
