THE term constitution may be defined as a body of fundamental rules and regulations according to which a country is organized and governed.
secularism was added to the preamble in 1976.a secular state is one which 
1.does not have an official or state religion.
2. does not discriminate against any body on grounds of religion.
3. does not favour  or promote any particular religion.
4. guarantees the freedom of every one to profess ,practise and propagate his or her own religion.
