1. It establishs the ideals which the people achieve and uphold.
2. It gurantees certain fundamental rights to all the citizen of the state.
3. It ensure a dominant group does not use its power against the other people.

a constitution helps serve as a set of rules and principles that all persons in a country can agree upon as the basis of way in which they want the country to be governed . the constitution also spells out the ideals the citizens believe that their country should uphold.
