Explanation:

Convection is a mode of heating that applies only in liquids and gases. Taking example of heating water, the water molecules at the bottom of the container gets heated first. When this molecules gets heated, they gets lighter and gets to the above of the container, the water molecules at the top of the container comes to the bottom and this cycle continues. Since it requires movement of molecules withing the object, it can't take place in solids and takes place in liquids and gases only. Convection is the major factor of land/sea breeze and weather changes.
