What is convection, conduction and radiation and how do these work in space?

Conduction is the method of transfer of heat from one body with higher temperature to a body with lower temperature through direct contact. A definite medium is required for its flow.

Convection is also the transfer of heat from a body with high temperature to low temperature, but it has to do this directly with the help of molecules which are supposed to GAIN THE HEAT FROM THE BODY, NOT VICE VERSA.

Radiation, on the other hand is very different from the above 2. It does NOT require any medium to travel. Not even air.

Hence, while radiation can occur in space in the absence of any kind of medium, conduction and convection don't.
