Hey there !

Thanks for the question !

Answer:

Conduction refers to the transfer of heat from one solid to another solid. This process accounts only for solid to solid heat transfer. Some of the examples of Conduction are:

  • The flow of heat from a bunsen burner to china dish while heating.
  • When a metal rod is heated at the tip, the heat is felt at the opposite tip. This is called conduction of heat.

Convection is the process of heat transfer that takes place in fluids to fluids. Here fluids refers to liquid to gas and gas to gas.  Some of the examples of convection of heat are as follows:

  • The concept of drying hair using Hair Dryer is convection.  The heat is transferred from the dryer to hair via air, due to which it is called convection.
  • The movement of water molecules while boiling the water is called convection. They flow towards the above direction and again come down when cooled.

Radiation is the transfer of heat energy directly without any contact with the surface. These are mainly luminous or radioactive bodies. Examples can be as follows:

  • Radiation from sun can cause heat in the surface of earth without direct contact.
  • Radiation of candle can cause heat over the palm when placed above the flame.

Hence these are the definitions and the corresponding examples.

Hope my answer helped !

Answer:

Explanation: convection is heat transfer by mass motion of a fluid such as air water when the heat fluid is caused to move away from the source of heat carrying energy with it.
