The principal focus of a convex lens is a point on its principal axis to which light rays parallel to the principal axis converge after passing through the lens.

Convex lens has real focus.

A lens that possesses at least one surface that is curved outward is known as a convex lens. If both the surfaces of the lens are curved outward, it is known as a biconvex lens.
